Members of Team Mizuno curl Jan. 21 during the first day of spring league play for the Denver Curling Club. The Denver Curling Club plays at The Ice Ranch, 841 Southpark Drive in Littleton. Five sheets accommodate league curlers, but President Pam Finch said a long-range goal for the club is to build its own facility. Curling teams have four members who each deliver two stones per end. The goal in curling to get one’s stones as close to the button, or center ring, as possible. Team members sweep with brooms to affect the curl of the stone and the distance it travels.
