Englewood will be playing for pride as it takes the field Nov. 6, seeking its first win of the season against Arvada.
Englewood coach Matt Bednorz said he saw a lot of effort, pride, determination and a number of good things happen on the field Oct. 30 despite the fact the Pirates lost to Elizabeth 52-21.

Overall, it has been a pretty good season for the Englewood High School cross country team, according to the Pirates coach.
Down 34 points and after losing two starters to injuries, Englewood’s football team hung in there and scored a pair of late touchdowns in the Oct. 24 loss to Skyview.
