Thursday lunch, 11:30 a.m. at Monument Town Hall. Bingo every second Thursday following lunch.

Nov. 12: Pork chops, mashed potatoes and gravy, spinach, apple, cookie, roll and skim milk.

Monday lunch, 11:30 a.m. at Monument Town Hall.

Nov. 16: Sweet and sour pork, brown rice, egg roll, mixed vegetable, fresh fruit, cookie and skim milk.


Tuesday lunch, soup and sandwich, $4 donation; and open bowling, $1.50 per lane donation, noon at Pinz Bowling Alley.

Wednesday lunch, $3 voluntary donation, at 11:30 a.m. at Big Red. Entertainment following lunch. Call Judy Hufford, 719-487-9067.

Nov. 11 entree: Meat loaf with twice baked potato and tossed salad.

Nov. 18 entree: Chicken with a cranberry-tomato sauce, mashed potatoes and tossed salad.

Tri-Lakes Cares is open from noon to 3 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays. Call 719-481-4864.

Open bowling, $1.50 per lane donation, and lunch of soup and sandwich, $4 donation, at noon Tuesdays at Pinz.

Classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays:

8:30 a.m.: SilverSneakers cardio circuit

9:30 a.m.: SilverSneakers muscular strength and range of movement

10:30 a.m.: Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program class

YMCA and Senior Alliance are discussing offering more classes to senior citizens in the future. Contact Lisa Gray at the YMCA for more information.

Entertainment Wednesdays at Big Red following lunch.

Mondays

From 1-4 p.m. — Crafts hosted by Jan — Craft Room; (tentative) — Bridge hosted by Hope — Game Room

Tuesdays

From 12-4 p.m. — Pinochle hosted by Gerry — Lounge; from 2-4 p.m. — Matter of Balance hosted by Lisa — Multi-purpose Room; Every 3rd Tuesday from 1-3 p.m. — Tea Time hosted by Irene — Lounge

Wednesdays

From 1-2 p.m. — Line Dancing hosted by Kay — Multi-purpose Room; from 1-3 p.m. the 3rd week of the month - Bingo hosted by Curt — Prizes galore — Craft Room; from 1-3 p.m. the 1st week of the month — Name That Tune and Sing Along hosted by Mary — Lounge

Thursdays

From 1- 4 p.m. — Bridge hosted by Hope — Game Room; and Pinochle hosted by Gerry — Lounge; from 2-4 p.m. — Matter of Balance hosted by Lisa — Multi-purpose Room; from 1-3 p.m. — Crafts hosted by Irene, Mary, and Jan — Craft Room

Tri-Lakes seniors: Join your peers at the Monument Branch Library from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesdays for “Senior Synergy.” Come for coffee and a snack and make your voice heard.

Ceramics-Pottery Club: Beginner classes at 2-Watts Creative. Learn the art of painting and glazing cups or bowls. Idea books and other resources available. A potters wheel is available for those who want to make an original piece. Call Paul Durbin at 719-481-2541.

LP Learning Points classes at Lewis-Palmer High School and Palmer Ridge High School. Call Maria at 719-785-4224.

Transportation for Tri-Lakes and surrounding area seniors, 60 and older, is provided free by the Mountain Community Transportation for Seniors program, funded by the PPAAA. Donations are accepted.

Mountain Community transports seniors to medical appointments in Colorado Springs Mondays through Thursdays. Call 719-488-0076.

Senior transportation van schedule: First Tuesday of every month: Chapel Hills and King Soopers. Third Tuesday of the month: Village Inn and Walmart. Passenger pickup begins at 9:30 a.m. Call 719-481-3540 or 719-488-0076.
