District tourney thins our area playoff teams

Being indoors, district volleyball action wasn’t affected by the recent winter storm that cut through Denver and surrounding areas.
Teams from Littleton and the Continental and Centennial Leagues fought to keep their respective seasons going and a bid for regional action this coming weekend.
Regional seeds were not released by press time.
Arapahoe
Arapahoe qualified for the Class 5A District 3 tournament at Pine Creek High School in Colorado Springs alongside Creek, Pomona, Loveland, Arvada West and Coronado. The Warriors lost to Pine Creek 3-0. No other results were reported from the tournament by press time.
Heritage
Heritage also qualified for district action. The Eagles took their shot at the 5A District 1 tournament at Highlands Ranch High School in Highlands Ranch alongside the hosting Falcons, Lakewood, Fairview, Brighton and Westminster. No results were reported from the tournament by press time.
Littleton
Littleton qualified for the 5A District 4 tournament at Grandview High School in Aurora alongside the Wolves, Rampart, Eaglecrest, Boulder and Air Academy. Littleton lost to Grandview 3-0. No other games from the tournament were reported.
Cherry Creek
The defending 5A champions Cherry Creek qualified for the District 7 tournament at Denver East High School in Denver alongside the Angels, ThunderRidge, Rocky Mountain, Legacy and Montbello. No results were reported from the tournament.
