AA meetings at Kiowa Creek Community Church are at 7 p.m. every Monday in the Chapel, 231 Cheyenne St., Kiowa. Call the church office at 303-621-2376.

Adoptees In Search is a group of adult adoptees and others involved in adoption who believe adult adoptees have the right to know their birthparents and birthparents have the right to know their birth children after adoptees become adults. We provide technical search information and emotional support to searchers and educate the public about the adoptive experience. The group meets from 7-8:30 p.m. the second Monday of every month in Room 137 at Parker United Methodist Church, 11805 S. Pine Drive, Parker. Contact Maggi Pritchard at 303-898-8164.

Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Group meets at 10 a.m. the fourth Saturday of each month at 10 a.m. at Parker Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Call David Peakman at 303-771-7460.


Civil Air Patrol-Parker Cadet Squadron meets from 6:30-9 p.m. on Thursdays at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, Mainstreet and South Pikes Peak Drive. Call 303-841-5897.

Cycle Club meets at 9 a.m. Saturdays in the parking lot of Southeast Christian Church. There is a tour of the streets of Parker, Elizabeth and Castle Rock. Call John at 720-842-5520.

Divorce Care, a support and workshop for adults and children, meets from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesdays and 1:30-3 p.m. Sundays at Parker Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Child care provided. Call Brad at 303-483-8130 or Shari at 303-880-6150.

Douglas-Elbert County Music Teachers’ Association meets at 9:30 a.m. every first Thursday from September to June, at the University Center at Chaparral. All area music teachers are welcome. Call Debra Wilson at 303-840-8341.

Elizabeth Piecemakers of Colorado Inc. needs help making cuddle quilts for area fire departments. The quilters meet from 2-4 p.m. the second Friday of each month, and from 6-8 p.m. the fourth Thursday of each month at Frontier High School room 159 in Elizabeth. The group needs help with cutting, sewing, pressing, making kids to be pieced, or just plain encouragement. Call Barbara Conte at 303-646-9046.

WINGS Foundation works to break the cycle and heal the wounds of childhood sexual abuse by providing educational presentations, support services and advocacy to adults throughout Colorado. WINGS promotes healing through therapist-led support groups in which survivors are believed, accepted, and no longer alone.
