The American Legion Post 82 of Elizabeth is awarding a $500 college scholarship to one qualified applicant from either Elizabeth or Frontier High School in this year’s senior graduating class. The scholarship is continuing, which means the recipient could receive $500 a year for up to four years, if he or she meets the qualifying criteria each semester.
American Legion Post 82 plans select a qualified student each year for this scholarship. Prospective applicants should see their respective school counselors for information on how to apply for the scholarship. Applications will be accepted until Feb. 28, 2010, with a decision being made by April.
