Centennial needs Noon’s leadership
Leadership is a quality that is a bit mysterious. Experts have been trying to define that allusive word for decades.
Even though it may be hard to define, we seem to be able to “sense” it in an individual who has those qualities. In fact, we are fortunate if we have been able to observe it in an individual while serving with that person who is in a leadership role. I have been in that situation as a member of the Home Rule Commission with Cathy Noon as our chair.
Cathy took on that task of leadership with this Commission of 21 people with diverse backgrounds, and political persuasions. It was her responsibility to round us all up; get us going in the same direction; create a feeling that all opinions were to be heard; keeping us on track; and in the final analysis coming up with a solid document that all could support among diverse preferences. This was not a small task.
Not only did Cathy chair that successful endeavor, but she also was the point person in getting the word out to the community of what exactly the home rule document entailed. That effort was also successful with over a 70 percent approval from Centennial citizens.
A vote for Cathy is a vote for solid, experienced leadership at a time when Centennial is moving forward. I encourage your support for Cathy in the upcoming election.
