Phelps will speak for us
I urge the voters in Centennial District 1 to vote for Ron Phelps, a true conservative Republican candidate for city council.
Eight years ago, the city was formed under the pretext that it would be a small virtual city. Not a lot of government controls, etc. Today, they have gone completely overboard with all their rules and regulations trying to govern the city like one big HOA. We moved here 10 years ago because we liked being unincorporated and not having to deal with HOA’s or covenants.
Now, Centennial is trying to govern everything we do, even to the point of trying to peak into our back yards. The City even went so far as to ban virtually all signs along main streets in Centenial (even free standing ones). This ban even includes garage sale signs, which people have been putting out for years. The City actually spends tax dollars to pay code enforcement to drive around looking for garage sale signs to take. This is a great injustice to a lot of citizens, particularly when code enforcement comes around on a Friday and takes down garage sale signs in the middle of the sale. You can’t find garage sales without signs directing you in off the main streets.
Apparently, the city knows this. The City made the ordinance where HOA’s and government agencies could display signs along the main streets of Centennial, but signs put out by the rest of us mere citizens “make the city ugly,” so code enforcement takes citizen signs.
Ron has been watching all that has been transpiring with Centennial, and is tired of it.
We need someone on City Council who will actually speak for us, the citizens of Centennial. Ron is for less government control, less government regulation, and lower taxes. He is very organized and on top of things and does exactly what he says he will do.
That is why I am voting for Ron Phelps for City Council from Centennial Distrist 1. I urge you to join me in voting for Ron Phelps.
