Oakley deserving of a second term
If you have a question about the City of Englewood, a good person to ask is Councilman Wayne Oakley. He’s lived and worked in the city over 40 years. And if you have a concern, an opinion to express, or even a complaint about the City of Englewood, Wayne listens, researches and works to solve problems. He doesn’t just listen to both sides, he listens to all sides. And he considers the past, the present, and the future when he casts all those important votes that define and redefine who we are as a city and a community.
It’s not always easy being a city councilmember. There are problems and opportunities around every corner. Keeping our streets in repair, our police and fire departments well-equipped and staffed for our protection, maintaining our parks, recreation facilities and library are costly. As a land-locked city, we can’t grow big, so we must continue growing smart.
For example, during the past four years, Wayne has served on the Water and Sewer Board, working to assure that our valuable assets like water rights and McClellan Reservoir continue to benefit and serve the citizens of Englewood, making sure that development does no harm to our water, and brings on-going revenue to our City.
Wayne Oakley is a fine man, a good citizen, a hard worker, and a dedicated city councilman. He deserves to be re-elected to a second term. And as citizens in District IV we deserve the good quality representation we receive with Wayne. Please join with me in voting for Wayne Oakley, a man of and for the people of Englewood.
