Cross Country finals pushed to Nov. 7

Classical Academy senior Kaitlin Hanenburg will be looking to win her third consecutive state championship in 3A cross country on Nov. 7 in Fort Collins.
The event was originally scheduled for Oct. 31, but due to over 18 inches of snow on the course, it was pushed back one week.
The Titan girls will be competing for their seventh consecutive championship as a team while the boys will be going for their fourth title in sixth years. Also competing from the area in 3A will be the Discovery Canyon girls and boys teams.
In 4A, Lewis-Palmer’s Josh Davis and Palmer Ridge’s Spencer Wenck will be representing the boys, while Palmer Ridge’s Ellen Jackson and the LP girls team will also be running.
The Pine Creek girls team, including freshman standout, Metro League and Regional champion, Heather Bates will be competing in 5A.
Races will begin at 9:30 a.m.
