Fundraiser for Black Forest‘ resident’s Harrison
Black Forest resident Denise “Justinn” Harrison contracted H1N1-related pneumonia and remains hospitalized in the critical care unit of Parker Adventist Hospital on life-support and dialysis.
She entered the hospital Oct. 2. Like many Americans, Harrison does not have insurance.
Her friends at her place of employment, Tanner’s Shoe and Leather Repair in Parker, and Buffalo Boyd’s Restaurant and Saloon will be host to a fundraiser on her behalf. The event will be from 2-6 p.m. Nov. 7 at Buffalo Boyd’s Restaurant & Saloon in Parker, at 12543 North Colo. 83 No. 202, at the northwest corner of Parker Road and Pine Lane.
Buffalo Boyd’s will have a $10 per person pig roast lunch with proceeds to benefit Harrison. Tanner’s will be shining shoes for donations. In addition, there will be an auction of items donated by local businesses and Harrison’s friends, and live entertainment.
In addition to the benefit, an account has been set up for Harrison at Chase Bank. Donations can be made there on her behalf.
