Neighbors in the News
The Rev. Roger Butts began serving as reverend of High Plains Church-Unitarian Universalist on Aug. 1, following a unanimous member vote at the end of a year-long search.
A picnic Aug. 16 honored his arrival while celebrating High Plains’ second anniversary in its permanent home at 1825 Dominion Way, formerly Mountasia Family Fun.
Members of All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church, which founded High Plains, also attended the picnic.
Butts received his master of divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary in 2002. He is working on his doctorate of ministry at Meadville Lombard, specializing in leadership and organizational development.
