It’s ‘sale day’ in the city

Rick Reese, owner of Dress for Less Clothiers, 3045 S. Broadway, straightens the corner of the banner announcing Dec. 27 as sale day at Englewood Business Improvement District stores. Members of the self-taxing district established the last Saturday of each month as sale day and the Englewood City Council approved their request and amended the code to allow district stores to fly the newly designed banner as yet another effort to attract potential customers to the stores. The district also used its funds to put up the business district banner over Broadway and to install planters and bike racks in front of some of the district’s stores.
