Chinese cuisine comes to Stroh Ranch
A new restaurant in Parker offers the enchanting aroma and tantalizing taste of China's finest cuisine.

South Garden III, a new restaurant on the north side of the King Soopers in Stroh Ranch, serves three different types of Chinese cuisine: Mandarin, Cantonese and Szechuan.
Customers can choose from a long list of delicacies, from bell pepper beef to shrimp with black and straw mushrooms to shredded pork with Peking sauce. Whether you prefer tangy, sweet or spicy, South Garden has something for every palate.
South Garden III opened in Parker on June 23, but the restaurant is already well known for its popular locations in the Denver Tech Center and Castle Rock.
Many tech center workers live in the Parker area, resulting in an existing base of loyal customers and consistent business, said Xue Yan Li, manager of South Garden III.
The most popular dish is the orange chicken, but the menu offers a vast selection of entrees, appetizers and sides. South Garden III also has specialties on the Chef's Special list and provides affordable combination plates for large groups of people and families.
The lunch menu offers an assortment of meals, from lemon chicken to Mongolian beef to vegetable Lo Mein, for between $6.25 and $7.25. In-house lunch items come with an egg roll, fried rice, fortune cookie and the choice of wonton, egg drop or hot and sour soups.
The varied styles of food provide a taste of three different regions of China. The Szechuan dishes typically are spicier, while Cantonese is largely stir fry meals, said Li, whose favorite entree is the sesame chicken.
South Garden III is becoming known for its friendly service. The employees have already learned the names of the regular customers and know what they want before they even look at a menu, Li said.
Families can enjoy the taste of South Garden cuisine without even leaving their home. The restaurant's delivery service has a five-mile radius, which includes Stroh Ranch and the Pinery. A minimum order of $12 is required.
